to the Physiotherapy Department Patient Education Website!
This
website aims to provide you with the current and accurate
health information and advice on keeping fit by being
physically active. It also answers some frequently asked
questions, such as why should I be physically active?
Am I too old for exercise? How do I get started? Should
I do exercise if I have back pain? And so on.
These
pages will also provide you with an understanding of
the importance of remaining physically active for keeping
fit and free from developing chronic diseases. We have
included tips on exercise equipment, certain exercises
that may be helpful to you, and postural advice.
The
exercises included in this website have been scientifically
proven to be helpful to certain medical conditions.
Even then, the information contained here is not meant
to be a substitute for medical attention. We are unable
to answer any questions you might have. So, before you
start any exercise program, please consult your physiotherapist
or physician.
